About Us:

Oxygen Youth is a non-governmental, non-profit civil society organisation established in Raqqa, first commencing operations in 2017. As terrorism fades from the country, the Oxygen Youth organization is working to support youth to recover from the effects of extremism and violence that they have been subjected to over the years amid the Al-Raqqa's occupation. Working with a multi-faceted approach, Oxygen Youth Organisation aims to understand the needs and gaps of Al Raqqa and provides training and hands on guidance to help them improve in these areas. With the mission to provide today's youth with the skill sets to move forward, Oxygen Youth Organisation offers a series of workshops that tackle civil work, peacebuilding and IT applications and tools.

About The Project:

Working to empower youth and young adults in their community, Oxygen Youth’s project hopes to facilitate workshops that encourage participation in governance and civil work. This project aims to increase the capacity of 108 people through multiple workshops, addressing the concepts and value of volunteering and civil work, on the tools of peace building, on management of volunteering movements and initiatives, on the basics of IT, and on the art of graffiti and its importance as an outlet. We will then support the beneficiaries in designing and implementing community initiatives aimed at building community peace.
